A note from our Wine Maker

   In 1973, my father planted the first commercial vineyard in Minnesota with the intent to produce world-class wines in our forbidding climate. He took a 12 acre field of rye in the sandy glacial plains of southern Minnesota and planted it with a small group of little known French/American hybrids, and thus began his quest to become a wine grower. Today, I have the advantage of growing more cold hardy varieties than my father did, but still the same challenges of producing new wines that can meet the critical standards of the wine-drinking world. As a Wine Club member, you will have the first opportunity to taste these new wines. We will also include many of our newly released vintage wines as well as unique wines bottled exclusively for our Wine Club members. It is my great pleasure to share with you my passion for wine making and hope your experience with our wines will both excite and please you.
